Salida Regional Library Digital Archive Rights Statement & Usage Permission
Statement:
Salida Regional Library provides digital access to the Salida Archive for educational and research/scholarly (i.e. non-profit) purposes. Images may be downloaded and printed by individuals for personal use, research, or teaching purposes, or other ‘fair use’ as defined by U.S. Copyright Law.
Items owned by Salida Regional Library and digitized at salidaarchive.info are protected by copyright and/or related rights. Notable exceptions are clippings scanned from the local newspaper (the Mountain Mail and its name predecessors).
Salida Regional Library may or may not own the rights for some of the material found in the digital archive. It is the user’s obligation to determine and satisfy copyright or other use restrictions when publishing or distributing material to which Salida Regional Library does not own the rights.
If you claim copyright ownership of any material in the digital archive and believe that your materials are inappropriately accessible online, please contact the Director at 719 539-4826.
Usage:
Salida Regional Library provides digital access to the Salida Archive for educational and research/scholarly (i.e. non-profit) purposes. Images may be downloaded and printed by individuals for personal use, research, or teaching purposes, or other ‘fair use’ as defined by U.S. Copyright Law.
If you wish to publish or reproduce materials from the Salida Regional Library’s collections FOR PROFIT, there is a usage fee of $15.oo per image. Each successive image used is an additional $15.00. All orders must be prepaid.
The library’s photo release form grants permission to use archive images for reproduction, as indicated by the user, and agreed upon by Salida Regional Library. Conditions governing their use are specified on the release form generated by the Salida Library. This form is to be signed by the user.

The Salida Regional Library gives no exclusive rights for the use of its material. Permission is granted for a one-time commercial use only. Any subsequent use of an image requires the written permission of the Salida Library and the payment of additional fees.
It is the responsibility of the user to credit the Salida Regional Library. Proper credit must be given to the creator, if known. Cite as follows:
[Name of] Collection, Salida Regional Library, Salida, Colorado.

Donating to the Archives
The Salida Library is always looking for donations to the Archive. Books, manuscripts, photographs, scrapbooks, photo albums, letters, diaries, business records, yearbooks, old phone books, city directories, reports & minutes, old maps, and personal papers are always welcome. Material should be derived from and relevant to the history of Salida and Central Colorado.
Would you like to digitally donate to the Library’s Archive? That means the Library would scan and share your history online but you would retain possession and copyright over your items.
