Yellowstone Park Photograph Album

This photograph album was found in the Salida Library’s book sale around 2016. The images are dated ca. 1940s. They are vacation images of a tour of the western states culminating in a trip to Yellowstone National Park.

Images include the Missouri River Bridge, Rapid City, South Dakota, Shell Canyon in the Bighorn Mountains, Spearfish, South Dakota, Bridal Veil Falls in Idaho Springs, Colo., Trail Ridge Road, the Royal Gorge, the Needles in South Dakota, Buffalo Bill’s Grave in Colorado Springs, Colo., Red Rocks in Morrison, Colo., Cody, Wyoming, and Yellowstone National Park, complete with lodge, bears, and Old Faithful. There was one clue inside the album as to who it may have belonged to: a tag that reads Wendel P. Adams, Tobias. The Tobias probably refers to the town in Nebraska.
